DynaScreensaver™

DynaScreensaver is a Dynamic Screensaver that displays the following:

  • Live game scores
  • Play by play details
  • Video highlights
  • Game roster
  • Goal scorers
  • Player statistics
  • Standings
  • Personalized Calendar with your team games and events
  • Latest news
  • Customized background pictures with your favorite players

This product was developed by London, Ontario based Cyberteks Design, a web design, multimedia and software development company using Macromedia Flash, SQL database integration and "push and pull" technology. It is now used by the Atlanta Thrashers NHL Hockey Team.

The DynaScreensaver builds on the universally accepted and widely used personal computer screensaver that historically has been able to offer only non-current information and images. DynaScreensaver takes screensavers to the next level using Macromedia Flash, database integration, push and pull technology to deliver dynamic, ever-changing, always-current multimedia displays that are constantly updated by remote Internet Server.

The technology used in developing the DynaScreensaver can be used as a marketing tool for many organizations throughout the world. It delivers rotating content you want the consumer to see to the consumer's screen with no action required. The content is refreshed approximately every 30 seconds.

  • Internet Connection (High Speed Internet recommended)

  • Please note: If your network is protected by a firewall, you may have to get permission to utilize this program.

How to use this unique Dynamic Screensaver

  • This screensaver can be used as a screensaver or as a stand alone product. When it is installed it will automatically make this product as your default screensaver. If you don't wish to make this as the default screensaver, please change it using by right clicking on your desktop, then click on properties and change the settings under screensaver. Atlanta Thrashers logo will be diplayed as an icon so that you can click whenever you want this product to be displayed.

  • When the screensaver is running, when you click the "X" on the top right or press escape, the screensaver will close.

  • In order for you get the live updates, you have to be connected to the internet. If you are not connected to the internet, only the backgrounds will be displayed.

  • There are 6 buttons on the left hand side of the screensaver. They are as follows. GAME SUMMARY, CALENDAR, NEWS, STATISTICS, HELP and ATLANTA THRASHERS WEBSITE.

  • GAME SUMMARY window will have the following features:
    • Live Score - The live score will appear on the left hand side with team logos. The time and period will be displayed on the yellow bar of the game summary.
    • Game Roster - This will display roster of both teams with Position (POS), Goals (G)and Assists (A) up to that game. To look at the full list, please use the scroller on the right hand side of the Game Summary window.
    • Live Game - Text based play by play summary of the game will be displayed and updated whenever an event occurs.
    • Goals - A detailed listing of all goals and asists scored during the game will be displayed. It will also displays Even Strength (ES), Pwer Play (PP), Short Handed (SH), Empty Net (EN) and Penalty Shot (PS).
    • Final Summary - Box score, Attendance, 3 Stars, Goalies names and Player summaries of both teams will be displayed. The player summaries will include Goals (G), Assists (A), Points (P), Shots (S), Shot Percentage (S%), Plus/Minus (+-) and Penalty Minutes (PIM).
    • Video Highlights - Video hightlights will be displayed few hours after the game is completed. Video Highlights of previous games can be viewed through the calendar functions. Please note that you require Windows Media Player to view the Video Highlights. If you don't have have Windows Media Player Plug-in, you can download it by clicking the area at the bottom of the Video Highlights Window.

  • STATISTICS window will have the following features:
    • Skaters - Detailed statistics of all Atlanta Thrashers skaters will be displyed. This will include Games played (GP), Goals (G), Assists (A), Points (P), Plus/Minus (+-), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Face off Percentages (FO%), Shots (S)and Shot Percentages (S%). Using the scroller function at the right, users can read the full list. Please note that all columns displayed can be sorted by clicking on any one of these headers.
    • Goalies - Detailed statistics of Atlanta Thrashers goalies will be displayed. This will include Games Played (GP), Minutes Played (MIN), Wins (W), Losses (L), Ties (T), Goals Against Average (GAA), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Shots Against (SA), Goals Against (GA), Save Percentage (S%) and Shutouts (SO). Please note that all columns displayed can be sorted by clicking on any one of these headers.
    • Playoff Picture - Standings of the Southeast Division and the playoff picture of the Eastern Conference will be displayed. This will include Ranking, Games Played (GP), Wins (W), Losses (L), Ties (T), Over Time Losses (OTL), Goals for (GF), Goals Against (GA) and Points (PTS).

  • CALENDAR window will have the following features:
    • Thrashers Homes Games - Will be displayed in Red box.
    • Thrashers Away Games - Will be displayed in Blue box
    • Thrashers Other Events - Will be displayed in Yellow Box.
    • Your Personal Events - Will be displayed in Black box
    • Add Your Personal Event - You can add your personal events like burthdays, appointments or any other event you like. Please click ADD EVENT button and you will be prompted to enter the date and your event desicription. Only you can see your personal events. All personal information will be stored in your personal computer. So if you enter your personal events from the computer at home, and then open the screensaver at your office, you will not see your personal events.
    • Edit Your Personal Events - You can edit your personal events.
    • Delete Your Personal Events - You can delete your personal events
    • Zoom in Calendar - This will give you a Full Screen Version of the Calendar. This will display the results of all previous games and also the Video Hightlights of all previous games. If there are several events, the users can use the scroll function available for all days. You also can add your personal events from this screen too. Furthermore, link to BUY TICKETS Is at the bottom left of the screen. You can use the ARROWS and change the months as you wish.

  • NEWS window will display current news items of Atlanta Thrashers

  • SETTINGS - When you first installed the screensaver, you will get 4 background images. If you you do not wish to have all 4 backgrounds, you can click on the Settings button at the left bottom corner and de-select the backgrounds you wish to delete. The Atlanta Thrashers may add more backgrounds in the future. You will promted to download those images from the Thrashers servers. Furthermore, if you have dial up internet connection, you should select LOW BANDWIDTH VIDEOS from the settings menu. The individual Windows (Game Summary, Statistics, Calendar and News) can be moved using the left arrow button to any position you wish. However after you moved your windows and you want them in their original position, you can click RESET PANEL POSITIONS button.
